Overall Opinion: This is a tough one to rate. The first 35% a 5 star read!! I absolutely adored their introduction, friendship, bonding over music, and build into romantic feelings. I honestly would've been perfectly content in their farmhouse bubble the whole book, but sadly they had to go out into the real world...and the h ruined it for me.I ended up disliking the h -- which says a lot because I loved her in the beginning! It felt like she was completely unreasonable at times...and I get that her parents had warned her about the rockstar lifestyle, but come on!! Killian was so freaking awesome and they had an amazing connection, that she should have never let him go or pushed him away. Luckily (for her), he was so freaking awesome, and still pursued her! Yep, her reactions and behavior in Killian's reality ruined the book for me. So 5 stars for the first part, then 2 stars for the last = 3.5 average stars for it all.**See goodreads.com/NMmomof4 for my full review with spoilers**Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Liberty and Killian's story. Liberty is surprised to find a strange man in her lawn one morning, and ends up helping him through his inebriated state. Killian is hiding away from the public and his band after a traumatic event had them taking a break. He finds himself back over at Liberty's house and hardly going away. They form an instant connection and a fast friendship. Eventually they bond over music, and take their relationship to another level. Killian has to go back on tour, and this is when they run into many obstacles that they have to work through. They have some band and public drama, and some hot sexy times...but they do get a HFN ending.POV: This alternated between Liberty and Killian's POV.Overall Pace of Story: Pretty good. I never skimmed, and I thought it flowed well.Instalove: No, they develop a friendship before stronger feelings.H rating: 4.5 stars. Killian. I really liked Killian! He was super sweet, funny, and sexy! My only complaint would be his communication skills sucked at times.h rating: 2.5 stars. Liberty. I really liked her a lot in the beginning part of the book, but sadly once the H had to go back to his life she turned into someone I really didn't care for. :(Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed.Heat level: Moderate. They had some hot chemistry and scenes, but not so much that took away from the storyline.Descriptive sex: Yes.Safe sex: Yes. Mentions of condoms, std statuses, and birth control. The H said he'd never gone without a condom before, and I don't remember any mention of h's past practices.OW/OM drama: Surprisingly for a musician romance -- no!Sex scene with OW or OM: NoCheating: NoSeparation: YesClosure: This had ok closure, but I wanted more (as always ;D). I would call it a HFN ending.How I got it: I paid the $4.99 on Amazon I thoroughly enjoyed this book. A contemporary rock star romance with the music theme done right.I don't know if the author is herself a musician or if she did some excellent research. But I very much appreciate the authenticity she brought to the story.Our heroine captured my heart from the very start. <--- That is unusual for me as I generally have a hard time connecting with heroines in a romance novel. Yet, Libby was awesome from start to end. ---adjective time! *rubs hands happily* Honest, forthright, secure, caring, supportive, self-aware, independent. <--- That was Libby. <3Our rock star, Killian (cool name) is not only swoon worthy as a music idol, he is swoon worthy as a person. Strong, brave, talented, level-headed, sweet and caring. A lovely young man.They meet under less than perfect circumstances but their natures allow them to quickly form a friendship. One that slowly but surely turns into something more as they discover their mutual love of music. They encourage and support each other. It's beautiful to see.This would be a five star rating from me except for a half dozen or so typos and use of a miscommunication device in a story that could easily have done without it.A big four stars from me for this delightful contemporary romance.I think I "have to" read Scottie's story next. Out of all the characters, Gabriel Scott intrigued me the most with his 3-piece bespoke suits, English accent and extreme physical beauty. He is an enigma that I have to find the answer to.
